Accepting unverified attributes lets you reach more people who use Yoti. This currently applies to organisations requesting information from Indian citizens who have added an Aadhaar card to their Yoti.
Unverified details from an Aadhaar card
When an individual adds details to their Yoti using an Aadhaar card, we add their Full Name, Date of Birth, Gender and Address as ‘unverified’ attributes. This is because an Aadhaar card lacks visible security marks, so the team in our security centre can’t check them to verify the attributes.
Unverified manually added addresses
We allow people to manually add their address if they’ve added an ID document that doesn’t include one. We do our best to verify this against a third party database, but we can’t always find a match. In this case, the Address attribute will be unverified.
