No, you can choose whether or not you want to add an ID document.
If you choose not to add a document, you will only be able to share your photo or mobile number with people or businesses, as these are the only details that have been verified. By adding an ID document, we can verify details like your name, date of birth and nationality.
By adding a passport, driving licence, national identity card or CitizenCard, you can get the most out of your EasyID – it becomes your digital ID you can use to prove your age and identity.
The ID document you add must be valid when creating your account. See here for information on what to do if your document expires.
